BKK Airport to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani: Event Transfer Guide (2026)

What IMPACT Is and Where It Sits

IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, is the biggest event venue on Bangkok's north side. Challenger halls host the expos, the Arena hosts the concerts, and on a big weekend both run at once while tens of thousands of cars try to fit into the same car parks. Getting there is easy. Getting there on time on an event night is the actual skill.

The catch for visitors flying in: IMPACT is nowhere near the airports, or rather it is near the wrong one. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) sits 50 km to the southeast. Don Mueang (DMK) is much closer, about 15 km away. Your transfer price and your timing both depend on which airport you land at.

What the Transfer Costs

From Suvarnabhumi (BKK). Our rate is flat, ฿20 per km on the real mapped route. The drive is roughly 47 to 50 km depending on your hall and hotel side, so the transfer prices about ฿950 to ฿1,100 fixed, door to door, tolls included in the plan. That sits inside our normal airport transfer band of ฿800 to ฿1,200.

From Don Mueang (DMK). Only about 15 km of mapped road, so the fixed price lands near ฿300 to ฿400. If your event is at IMPACT and you have a choice of arrival airport, this is the single biggest money and time saving available to you.

  • Fixed quote before booking. The price is locked when you confirm. Rain on the expressway does not reopen the negotiation.
  • Flight tracking. Landing late? The driver watches the flight number, not the clock.
  • EV comfort. A quiet electric car after a red-eye beats standing in the ARL with a suitcase between your knees.

Timing the Drive

BKK to IMPACT: 50 to 70 minutes. Off-peak it is closer to 50. Between 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, budget the full 70 and a bit of patience around the Chaeng Wattana exits.

DMK to IMPACT: 20 to 35 minutes in normal traffic, and rarely much worse even at rush hour because the route is short.

Event-day warning: when a major concert lets out, the roads around Muang Thong Thani lock for 30 to 45 minutes. If you are arriving for an expo or a match, aim to be on site 90 minutes before doors open, not 45.

Public Transit, Honestly Assessed

The Pink Line monorail now serves the Muang Thong Thani area, which helps if you are already north of the river. From Suvarnabhumi, though, the journey is a chain: airport rail link to Phaya Thai, a cross-city ride, then the monorail, then a walk. With luggage or after a long flight, that is three legs too many. From Don Mueang the transit story is thinner still. For most visitors the private transfer is not the lazy option, it is the one that arrives when the ticket says the doors open.

Booking the Right Way

  • Send flight number and hall. Challenger 1, Challenger 2, or the Arena all use different entrances, and the driver plans the drop point around it.
  • Book the return at the same time. After a concert ends, demand for cars spikes. A pre-booked pickup at a set meeting point walks you past the queue.
  • Luggage runs are normal. Expo exhibitors book us for booth crates and suitcases as often as fans book us for tickets.

The Short Version

Suvarnabhumi to IMPACT: about 50 km, ฿950 to ฿1,100 fixed, under 70 minutes. Don Mueang to IMPACT: about 15 km, ฿300 to ฿400, half an hour. Both in a private EV, both with the price locked before you land, both with a driver who knows which entrance your event actually uses.
